Hair Influence Services, Policies, and Procedures.

Prior to booking an appointment you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed in the service policy & procedures.

Shampoo Services

A $25 non-refundable fee will be due at the time of booking. The fee will be applied to the balance of your appointment.
No call no shows will result in permanent termination of services.
Cancellations must be done within 48 hours.
Cancellation with a reschedule will not require an additional fee.

Make sure your hair is ready for the service you booked.
Exception: I don’t offer detangling or take down services unless you are not physically able to do so.
Please detangle and place hair in a ponytail or jumbo twists.
If you are physically unable to prep your hair, you are required to inform me in advance to ensure there will be enough time to complete the full service.
Any prep time will result in additional fees billed per hour. If you do not consult prior to this may result in a canceled appointment.

A consultation is required for special accommodations to determine if services can be rendered.
No pets are allowed at appointments. Space must be kept free of animal hair due to allergies.
We recommend no children at appointments (unless they are receiving the service). Appointments are for you to relax and be cared for while you receive the service.

Regularly scheduled appointments are 4 weeks rotations. 4 week appointments are what’s recommended to maintain healthy locs.

Regular Appointments are scheduled 3 to 6 months out for Sisterlock clients. If you do not schedule your appointments in advance you will not have a guaranteed appointment day and time. No exceptions!
4 week retights are the only appointments accepted at $35 per hour.
Appointments scheduled between 6 & 12 weeks are considered a retight with repair. The rate will be $45 per hour. (10% to 50% of locs need repair)
Appointments scheduled between 12 & 18 weeks are considered a straight repair. The rate will be $60 per hour. (50% to 100% of locs need repair)
Payment is due at the end of your appointment. If you need to delay payment you have to notify me 24 hours in advance. I have the right to cancel your appointment and reschedule.

Cancellations without rebooking means you will not have a dedicated slot.
3 or more cancellations or reschedules in 6 months will result in permanent removal from the dedicated appointment slot. You will have to schedule your appointments on the “Book Now” when an open slot is available.

Accommodation will only be made for things directly related to your retight.
Example: If you have medical or health problems accommodations will be considered and most likely granted.
I will not make special purchases for your accommodations. You will need to bring what you need for your comfort.
Things that are not permitted. Blankets from home are not permitted. Pillows and items to make sitting more comfortable are permitted and must be wrapped in plastic or in a closed plastic bag.

The recommended maintenance between appointments:
- Wash approximately every 2 weeks
- Make sure you wash with your hair in loose braids
- Wash with appropriate shampoo
- Take out braids and separate each loc to the scalp!
- Braid hair in tight braids to dry
Air drying causes loc to balloon out and friz. Healthy locs should be tight and uniform. Only tight coils can air dry without ballooning and frizzing once locs are mature. Air drying loose locs is not recommended.

Appointments for retights start at 9am for clients with dedicated slots. You will need to call for a different time accommodation.
Please try to arrive on time. Anytime before the scheduled start time is my personal time.
Arriving late you will have a 15 minute grace period. 15 minute is to account for traffic delays. 15 minutes is not an open invitation to be consistently late.
If you do not inform me of your late arrival the clock will start at the scheduled time.
NO CALL NO SHOWS. There will be no charge for no shows. No call, no shows will result in termination of service permanently.

Any additional service has to be scheduled in advance. See Book Now for services.
All additional services will have a cost associated with it. Additional services are not included in the cost of your retights.
Add-on shampoo include: one of the following, braid-out, or twist-out, or roller set. Time under the dryer has no additional cost.
Receiving services from other locticians. If you receive a retight from another loctician you may be subject to additional charges for repair services, if needed.
